While Season 7 of Game of Thrones finds Cersei Lannister clinging precariously to her rule of the Seven Kingdoms, her alter ego, Lena Headey, is willingly bidding farewell to her Sherman Oaks realm. The star has just put her remodeled Mid-Century Modern home in Hidden Woods on the market for $1.945 million.
Headey added a second story to the 2,900 square foot gated home, featured in Dwell Magazine last fall. She told the magazine that her goal for the redo was to create a '”relaxing, kid-friendly space that reminds her of Ibiza” — her favorite place.
Headey updated the spaces with contemporary finishes including vaulted beamed ceilings, bright artistic tile and floors of reclaimed oak laid in a bold herringbone pattern.. On the magical patio, accessed by Fleetwood sliders from the chef’s kitchen and family room, market lights softly illuminate the saltwater pool. Hedges create privacy for the space, which is enhanced by a “wooly pockets” wall garden, drought-tolerant landscaping and an outdoor shower with reclaimed hemlock surround.
